The Specials.

Issue 48.

OMG, OMG, OMG! I am so excited! Its here and I can't even begin to tell you the emotions I am feeling right now! It is probably one of the best things I have ever seen in my life...I'm totally serious.
You get it all with this little number...humour...romance...suspense...YES...'Hotel For Dogs' the Movie is now finally available on Blue Ray & DVD!!!
Oh and the new issue of DicE is out too....

High fives and tongue kisses to David at Death Spray Customs who knocked us out with his fantastic fold out cover!
This is not So.Cal, This is not Egypt, This is not fucking Hackney...
THIS IS DICELAND!!!!!

Wait...What...There is also a free 22" x 16" poster with every issue?! Yessireebob!
The lovely Tiffany Collins on her Buell Blast shot by Michael 'Clunge' Schmidt.

What's the magazine inside a magazine this time I hear you all cry! It's the magnificent 'Church Of Choppers'!! The back issues of 'Chu Cho' go for so much money on eBay that it's not even funny and here we are giving you the new one for free! Yes...we are too nice.

The Cro Customs built 'Yang Yang' shovelhead won the builders choice award at last years Born Free and it is a work of art. If your heart doesn’t beat faster when you see it…you are a dick nose. Oh and Caleb was also responsible for a big punch up at the DicE party in Culver City last weekend.

Conrad Leach aka Peacy Leachy aka Con The Don aka Valerie Singleton has this great Panhead called ‘The Knob Gobbling Gobbler’ and when he is not worrying about how much oil it leaks he rides it around the streets of London.

Our good friend T-Bone Jones at Noise Cycles in Santa Ana California decided to quit his day job and build bikes full time at the beginning 2012. To say he absolutely killed it is an understatement!  He built 4 complete machines and did numerous small modifications on other bikes throughout that time. Here is one of those bikes and it's one of the nicest Evo's we have ever seen! Congrats buddy!

Ok, here is the scenario. You get a lead on an original Vincent Grey Flash that has been sitting for years and it might be for sale really cheap…do you:
A. Do a doo doo right there and then.
B. Break into a Riverdance style leg workout.
C. Give yourself a bum shandy because you can’t get drunk quick enough to celebrate.
Answer: C although it’s always easier to get a friend to help when you go in for an alcohol enema.
The New England Drive-In is a twisted tale of friends, choppers and good times. Yep...They are living the dream!

Kim Boyle just smashed you in the face with his new Norton. Boom! It's insane. Nuff said.

‘Slippery When Wet’ is the third studio album by Bon Jovi, released on August 18, 1986. It is the band's most commercially successful album, selling over 12 million copies in the United States and has sold over 28 million worldwide. It was named the top selling album of 1987 by Billboard. The album is featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
Just a fun little fact for you there...so…

The Haifley Brothers in Arizona just finished this amazing BSA 650 show bike. Obviously they are known for making wicked Bates style seats and P-pads amongst other things...did you see the P-Pad on this bike? It's tiny mate!

The first 2 Bon Jovi albums were crap though.

Kevin's Evo Sportster is the dogs bollocks. Although that's a great expression, a dog's bollocks is usually disgusting to look at, which is not the case for this bike. The expression should be changed. It should be something like... Kevin's Evo Sportster is the Kelly Brooks Tits.

Part 2 in the Sam Christmas portfolio series. Nice!

The grand finale in the saga of making the worlds nicest tail light! You can try these step by step instructions to make one yourself but there is not guarantee it will be anywhere as nice as Brandon's one. Mullins Chain Drive, destroying minds since1867.

Ok, when things get a little tough and you need to shake things up a bit, why not build a 2 wheeled freedom machine and make for the hills and ride the strange torpedo that is life all the way to the end...OR...you could just stay at home in fear that you will miss your favourite show on A&E every Tuesday night at 9pm. Did you see it last night though?! That was the best one yet! I heart 'The First 48'.

Hands down the best article we have ever published. Nicke Svensson does a wheelie on his Vard equipped big twin Flathead and cracks the frame in half. As 'The Kids' say...'This is Rock n Roll.'

Apparently if you take 3 Panhead engine and machine the lower cases together side by side, fit the barrells at a 45 degree angle, mill the heads so the deck meets the barrells to keep the rockers
level...it will never ever run.

The Busch Brothers are mental! They build really good stuff with a twist. Check out their Ironhead Sportster! As Ronald McDonald says..."Where can you buy shoes when you have size 16 feet?!"

The Castle Run 2013. Oh Yes Indeedy!

If you are in Europe and you miss this, well.... then you're mental.

When I Was A Greasy Rockabilly Type.

About to leave on one of the early Rockers Reunion Runs to Brighton. This would of been right at the beginning of the 1990's. I'm riding my Matchless G12 CSR. Man, I wish I still had that bike. Although having said that it did have the worst designed oil pump in the world. The infamous 'video cassette' type, it was dubbed that because it looks like a small video cassette natch'. Leave it standing for a few days and it would wet sump so badly the pavement would be awash with a black oily mess. The CSR (Competition/Sprung/Roadster or Coffee Shop Racer as it was dubbed by the other factories, they thought it was a derogatory term) was AMC cashing in on the cafe racer craze using their rather boring G12 650 twin cylinder as the base model. This particular CSR came right out of the factory with Ace bars, rear sets, Siamese pipes, light weight ali mudguards with minimalist brackets, custom taillight, a lumpy cam and a high compression ratio of 8.5:1. Supposedly good for over a ton but I never did quite manage to get it up to those speeds no matter how hard I tried. The customising didn't extend to the brakes however, they are complete shit. An 8" twin leader would of been a good idea but I'm guessing the companies finances just didn't stretch that far.

Midnight Riders, BCN.

Vanessa has a small shop right outside Barcelona, next to the beach. She makes leather stuff. She made this wicked satchel for a customer. Here is a basic description in her own words:

"The satchel in the pics is designed to be able to carry stuff like a
17-inch MacBook, an iPhone in the front pockets, and the flap tucks under
a front strap so you don’t have to worry about opening and closing buckles
all day long just to get to your stuff.
It has two main compartments with a slim extra storage space between them.
The first compartment is zippered. Under the flap are three small pockets
to stash a note pad, phone, or whatever.
All top-grain vegetable tanned leather. Color is dark, glass bottle green.
Interior is un-dyed natural. Generous 5cm wide detachable and adjustable
shoulder strap. Chromed brass and steel fittings.
All hand tooled, hand stitched. No machinery involved.
Finished dimensions:
Full size: approx. L15 3/4" x H10 3/4" x D3 1/8"
Small size: approx. L10" x H7 3/4" x D2 1/2" (can carry iPad, etc.)"

We Need More Rock N Roll Bands.

We Are The Mods.

Rosie found these old pics at her grans house of me and my brother from the spring of 1979. I haven't seen these for many years. Damn I was young. Living in London back then was very special.

Ben, my brother on his Sportique.

Myself and Sheena, my girlfriend at the time, on my LI 150. All the mirrors and lights had been removed in order to rattle can the Lambretta. This was taken just prior to putting them all back on. Check out the chrome side panels, bling!  You can just see the rear end of my recently acquired series 2 TV175. Scooters were so cheap back then. Man, really wish I had kept them both.
Ladbroke Grove.

Sheena, our good friend Chinner (RIP bruv) and Ben just messing about. Yup, it was all Fred Perry's. 501's and Sta Prest.

Big Born Free 5 News??!!!

Dear Mike Davis & Gront Peterson,
My name is Dean Micetich and I would love to see better bands at Born Free to really jazz up the atmosphere.
If you were already thinking that but didn't know which hip groups are up for performing, may I suggest a hot rockin' band from Tallahassee, Florida.
They are Christian I think so it would be a great way to bring bikes and religion together. Not only that but the singer has a really cool way of singing. He never says any word with an 'S'...instead he says them with an 'SH' it's incredible!
EG: "With Armshhh Wide Orpen."
Anyways, they are brilliant and I vote Creed & Born Free...wait...you could call the show 'Born Freed'? Did you see there what I did there? I combined the words.
Anyways, just an idea.
Your biggest fan in the whole wide world,
Biker Dean.
